Special Events

Japan Society members sample traditional Japanese foods at the annual New Year's Celebration.
Join one of our Patron Groups and receive invitations to future events! Japan Society organizes exciting Special Events throughout the year in conjunction with gallery exhibitions, film screenings, performing arts productions and other unique programs. We host a variety of invitation-only events, including exclusive receptions with dignitaries from Japan, film premieres with actors and directors, private curator-led tours of the Gallery with afternoon tea or evening cocktails, and our annual Japanese New Year’s Celebration. The Society also arranges distinctive off-site events, such as cooking demonstrations and tastings led by notable chefs and festive dinners held at private residences.

Japan Society’s Annual Dinner is our most high-profile event of the year. This major fundraiser attracts nearly 1,000 guests, bringing together the international business community, diplomatic leaders, and an prominent individuals in U.S.-Japan relations. Participate in Japan Society’s Annual Dinner by purchasing tickets or tables!
