The Nikkei, Japan's leading business newspaper, co-organizes a seminar to address potential shifts in U.S.-East Asia policy under the next administration. The road to this year's election has witnessed a particularly early and turbulent start. Looking beyond the fierce battle for the democratic nomination, the economy and foreign policy have emerged as top issues in this year's campaigns. What changes do the candidates' administrations hold for policy towards an East Asia that continues to rise in economic and political power? This seminar takes an inside look at the presidential candidates' East Asia strategies and their potential implications for U.S. business relations with the region.
