The magical world of Third Street is back! Set in nostalgic Tokyo in 1959, Always 2 stars the same cast as the first installment, which won 13 Japan Academy Awards in 2006, as well as the New York Asian Film Festival Audience Award. The charming characters and stories continues (with a rare cameo perfomance by Godzilla) as Junnosuke's father returns to Third Street to take back his son from Chagawa, who is unable to care for him financially.
