Since the establishment of Hoshino Hot Spring Inn in 1914, Hoshino Resorts has greatly expanded its core business as an operator of Japanese ryokans, luxury and ski resorts, operating 35 resorts across Japan and Asia while successfully creating a brand known for legendary Japanese hospitality, eco-friendly operations and traditional Japanese ambiance. Since becoming the CEO of Hoshino Resorts, Yoshiharu Hoshino has rejuvenated the business by strengthening customer service and standing behind his philosophy of maintaining a fine blend between Japanese tradition and modernity. After their success with Hoshino Resort Kia Ora Rangiroa in Tahiti, Hoshino Resorts plans to expand into Bali, Indonesia in 2016. In this program, Mr. Hoshino discusses Hoshino Resorts’ plans for expanding across the globe, as well as business development strategies in the context of the global economy.
