Like a Japanese Sex and the City, Girls follows the love lives and workplaces of four beautiful women: Yukiko, a 29-year-old fashion designer, is starting to feel pressure to start dressing her age; Seiko, an office worker, finds it difficult to be taken seriously by her elder male subordinates after a recent promotion; Yoko, who feels guilty about having feelings for a rookie employee who is 12 years younger; and a hard-working single mother named Takako. Based on the bestselling novel Girl by Hideo Okuda.
