Mastermind in Textile: An Evening with Dai Fujiwara

Dai Fujiwara, former Creative Director of Miyake Design Studio, has been known for his creative ways to develop Issey Miyake’s various lines, especially A-Poc (A Piece of Cloth) line. After his departure from Miyake, his new venture includes an architectural project titled Sun House, featured in Japan Society’s current exhibition, Fiber Futures, which uses fabric as part of roofing. In this program, Fujiwara shares his experience at Miyake, and what the future holds for him. Moderated by Cara McCarty, Curatorial Director, Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum.
