CORPORATE PROGRAM
Navigating the American Legal System
Corporate Breakfast
Wednesday, April 18, 8 AM —
10 AM
The United States is the most litigious country in the world. Claims of unlawful employment discrimination, product liability, anti-trust and price-fixing, and “whistleblowing,” brought by private parties, federal, state or local government agencies can be costly to defend and financially and reputationally devastating to lose. This program will focus on the legal challenges faced by Japanese employers doing business in the U.S. with a special emphasis as well on the increasingly significant topic of women in the workplace, including pay, promotions and “caregiver status.”
