Corporate Program

The Korean Peninsula lies at the crux of a Northeast Asian region that is at once the most dynamic and the most potentially volatile and dangerous in the world. In cooperation with The Korea Society, Japan Society hosts Kent Calder and Mark Minton who will look at future relations among Korea and its neighbors, Japan and China, together with options beyond the six-party talks for stabilizing the region and safeguarding its economic prosperity in an uncertain world. Calder, currently director of the Reischauer Center for East Asian Studies at SAIS/Johns Hopkins University, is the co-author of The Making of Northeast Asia and a former Visiting Professor at Seoul National University, as well as Special Advisor to the US Ambassador to Japan. Minton is President of The Korea Society.
