International scholars gather to offer interpretations and discuss Zen master Hakuin’s ink paintings and calligraphies.

Speakers include Katsuhiro Yoshizawa, Professor of Zen Studies, Hanazono University International Research Institute for Zen Buddhism; Thomas Kirchner, Associate Researcher in Zen Studies, Hanazono University; and Yuji Yamashita, Professor of Japanese Art History, Meiji Gakuin University.
