NYSE Euronext CEO Duncan Niederauer Examines the Future of Capital Markets
Corporate Luncheon
Tuesday, June 9, 12 PM
Registration for this event is now closed.

The financial crisis has produced turmoil and hardship on a global scale, and raises new questions about the future of capital markets. Profound change--driven by largely by technology, competition, market participants, regulators and governments, and markets themselves--is on the horizon for world financial markets, which like NYSE Euronext are undergoing a great transformation. While the ultimate shape of the new capital marketplace remains to be seen, we can be sure that it will be truly global and ever more competitive, increasingly dependent on technology and innovation, adherent to new regulations, and more accountable and transparent. There will be greater cooperation and partnership among certain exchanges and financial centers across distinct geographies, and more market consolidation remains a distinct possibility. Creating new products and services is a requisite for the future, and the opportunity for capital markets to facilitate growth and economic well-being in both developing and established economies may never be brighter or more vital. NYSE Euronext CEO Duncan Niederauer offers a glimpse into the global capital marketplace of the future.
