2015 Annual Dinner

We are pleased to announce that Steven A. Kandarian, Chairman, President & Chief Executive Officer, MetLife, Inc., will be the speaker at the Japan Society’s Annual Dinner to be held on Thursday, June 11 at the Hilton New York. The 2015 Japan Society Award will be presented to artist Yoko Ono. The reception begins at 6:30 pm and the dinner program at 7:30 pm. Attire will be black-tie optional. Each year the Annual Dinner attracts approximately 700 prominent business and diplomatic leaders. Since interest in attending this event is high, we urge you to make your reservation as soon as possible. Please complete and return the registration form by May 11.

2014 Annual Dinner Overview
On Thursday, June 5, 2014 approximately 660 guests gathered at the Hilton New York for the Society’s annual fundraising gala. The keynote speech was delivered by Douglas L. Peterson, President & CEO of McGraw Hill Financial, with Reuters Television anchor Frederick H. Katayama serving as Master of Ceremonies. Entertainment was provided by guitar legend Tomoyasu Hotei, supported by Tony Grey on bass and Mino Cinelu on percussion. The evening concluded with Gerald L. Curtis, Burgess Professor of Political Science at Columbia University, presenting the 2014 Japan Society Award to Dr. George R. Packard, President of the United States-Japan Foundation.
