In October, Japan Society held it's "J-Music Ride" concert featuring Yu Sakai and Cibo Matto. We were lucky enough to spend some time with Yu and find out how he's been enjoying NY.

Hailing from the Tokyo music scene, keyboardist/singer-songwriter Yu Sakai's music blends R&B beats, jazz-fused j-pop melodies, self-mixed instrumentation and multi-layered vocals. Sakai became an overnight sensation in Japan, breaking radio chart records after releasing his first single in 2009 and winning iTunes' 2010 Best J-Pop Album of the Year award with his debut album.
