Gentaro Yui - Co-founder, Sweet Treat 311 & Field Director, MORIUMIUS

Yui Gentaro is one of three co-founders of Sweet Treat 311, an educational after school program, called Ogatsu Academy, that offers afterschool programs and MORIUMIUS, a sustainable, experiential learning center that focuses on fishery, farming, nature programs, and IT programs. Gentaro, born in Japan but raised primarily in the U.S., started in the music industry in New York after receiving a BA in Music from Lebanon Valley College. He joined Nippon Television in 1999 to distribute American sports content such as MLB, NFL, IRL in Japan. After leaving Nippon Television, he was a founding member of Kids City Japan K.K., which opened KidZania Tokyo in October 2006 and KidZania Koshien in March 2009. Gentaro is committed to children's education, the development of food culture, the empowerment of producers, and nature conservation.
