Keiko Tsuyama - Freelance journalist

Keiko Tsuyama is a freelance journalist based in New York. She is a Wall Street Journal Japan columnist and writes for prestigious magazines in Japan such as AERA (published by Asahi Newspaper). Her reporting has focused on business and political news and cultural feature stories. She covered the 2008 presidential election for AERA from the Iowa caucuses to the Presidential Inauguration Day. She also reports U.S. stock market news for Reuters TV in Japanese from the NASDAQ studio in New York. Prior to freelancing, Ms. Tsuyama was a senior business news correspondent for Kyodo News, the largest news-wire service in Japan. As a correspondent in New York from 2003 to 2006, she covered market and business news in the U.S. Business executives she interviewed include Mr. Eric Schmit, Google’s CEO, Mr. Steve Chen, founder of YouTube and Mr. Ted Turner, founder of CNN. Ms. Tsuyama received her Bachelor’s Degree from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies.
