Kota Niitsuma - Sales and Planning, Okasei Inc. & Onagawa Fukkou Maru

Originally from Onagawa, Kōta lost his job at Okasei Inc., where he worked in the wholesale department purchasing fish, when the company was destroyed as a result of the tsunami. He then found work as an electrician, and along with other young co-workers, he started a voluntary organization that worked to “make the town energetic” through events, such as a music fare. Through the connections they made with other groups in Onagawa, they become involved in community development projects that focused on people in Onagawa in their 20’s. Gaining the trust of the older generation in the area, they began to receive requests to work together.
