Join Japanese-language students and native Japanese speakers at this informal gathering to practice Japanese and English! Anyone with some Japanese language skill is welcome to attend.
日本人の方、英語を勉強中の方、ふるってご参加ください!日本に興味のある方や日本語を勉強中の方と楽しく会話をしましょう。

For 30 minutes during the October 8th meeting, Noh instructor Mayo Miwa sensei will be demonstrating the traditional Japanese theatrical art of Noh with some volunteers from the audience. Miwa-sensei is the Vice President of the Noh Society. She began learning Noh at the age of 14 and majored in Noh theater at Tokyo University of the Arts, trained at Kanze School in Japan. Since moving to New York she has been collaborating with artists from different media to develop the art of Noh in contemporary forms and to explore the physicality of traditional Noh Theater.
