Shamisen Workshop with Imafuji Chotatsuro

The three-stringed shamisen is one of the most important and versatile instruments in Japanese traditional music. Celebrated nagauta (the style developed for kabuki accompaniment) shamisen player Imafuji Chotatsuro leads a workshop that introduces the traditional Japanese pentatonic scale and special shamisen playing techniques. Max 12 people. Some string instrument playing experience required.
