Visual Storytelling through Video & Photography Workshop

A dynamic and hands-on 10 day course for high school students, Visual Storytelling invites you to take your ideas and use your creativity to communicate through video and photography.  Led by Emmy Award-winning visual storyteller Eduardo Angel and International Center of Photography faculty member Jaime Schlesinger, students plan, shoot, and produce a short video and create a series of images to display in a student exhibition.  Throughout the course, guest speakers also introduce renowned Japanese photographers and directors who have influenced their craft.

Course Schedule:
August 1 - 5, 12 - 5 pm
August 8 - 12, 10 am - 3 pm
Student Exhibition: August 12, 6 pm

Complimentary lunch will be provided between August 8th – 12th.

Registration: $500/$450 Japan Society members; Needs-based scholarships available.
