In commemoration of the 50-year anniversary of Okinawa’s reversion to Japan, Japan Society is engaging in a dynamic year-long exploration of the archipelago’s people, culture, history, and geopolitical significance.
Japan Society’s Okinawa in Focus programming will highlight diverse perspectives on Okinawa’s rich culture, through a series of compelling performances and presentations across various platforms, including dance, film, photography, video, lectures, and high-level thought leader panel discussions.
