Japan Society's Family Programs bring together diverse communities to experience Japanese culture through storytelling, art making workshops and festivals.

Oshogatsu from Home

Oshogatsu

Celebrate the New Year Japanese-style with our Oshogatsu online event filled with traditional activities like calligraphy video workshop and taiko drumming! This year, experience the joy and wonder of Oshogatsu from the comfort of your own home with New Year’s games, at-home craft activities and video performances. With activities for the whole family, you are sure to ring in the New Year with great joy!

Family Membership



Every year, hundreds of families attend programs at Japan Society to experience Japanese culture, to reconnect with their Japanese heritage, and to create fond family memories. Your membership gives you and your loved ones free admission to Japan Society Gallery, discounts on programs, classes and workshops, and invitations to special events. We look forward to welcoming you to Japan Society soon!

Family Membership ($125)

Two adults and up to four children under 18
