In collaboration with Community Solutions, Brownsville Partnership, the Designers Accord, and GOOD magazine, Japan brought together designers, architects, social entrepreneurs from the U.S., Japan, Vietnam and Cambodia, to look at how design can serve as tool for solving challenging social problems.
The project focused on Brownsville, a residential neighborhood in Brooklyn that has the highest concentration of public housing in the U.S. The program included a site visit, a charrette, and a public symposium. The project identified project ideas for Brownsville that complements the work of the Brownsville Partnership.
