Hiragana and Katakana Workshops
These mini-workshops allow the beginning students of Japanese the opportunity to quickly and efficiently master the reading of the two Japanese syllabaries, hiragana and katakana.

Japanese Language Teacher Training: Introductory

This program is a practical course for those who wish to learn essential classroom teaching skills in order to teach Japanese in classroom or individual settings, and for those who have had little or no formal training in teaching Japanese as a foreign language.

English Courses

Thirty-eight hours of beginner and intermediate/advanced English as a Second Language (ESL) conversation. 38時間にわたる初級及び中/上級英語学習者を対象にした日本人向け英会話教室。

Spring Japanese
Thirteen levels of Japanese (beginner to advanced), four JLPT prep courses and other specialized courses are offered this spring.

Shodo & Weekend Shodo
Hands-on workshops that introduce the techniques of shodō. Students at any level of experience are welcome; Japanese language skills are not required.

A Crash Course for Travelers to Japan
A quick introduction to Japanese as well as Japanese customs, helpful for first-time and veteran travelers to Japan alike. Participants learn basic Japanese phrases for greeting, ordering food, shopping and other aspects of daily life.

Intensive Japanese Weekend
Concentrated courses designed to teach basic conversational skills; useful for people with traveling or schedule conflicts. No prior experience required.
