The Clark in Williamstown, MA
On Sunday, March 26, our Circle of Friends members traveled to The Clark in Williamstown, MA to view their beautiful exhibition Japanese Impressions: Color Woodblock Prints from the Rodbell Family Collection. The group enjoyed a private tour of the exhibition led by Curator Jay Clarke, a chance to meet collector Adele Rodbell, a special lecture on ukiyo-e by Professor Julie Davis and free time to explore the exquisite collection, extensive groups and new Tadao Ando-designed building.

Oshogatsu
This past January, Japan Society threw a New Year's celebration to ring in 2017. Parents, children, and family members of all ages practiced taiko drumming, learned how to pound rice to make mochi, decorated traditional hyotans (gourds), and made their own nenga-jo (New Year's cards).
